BOOK SALE 2007

Our first annual Used Book Sale was a success. We had roughly 50,000 books for sale, some quite valuable. The books were priced at $1.00 for paperbacks and $3.00 for hardcovers. Once again the community provided great support for this project. Students from the Nanaimo Christian School and from Malaspina Tourism and Recreation program helped with the heavy lifting. The Nanaimo Clippers also provided yeoman’s service during the transfer of our books from the Howard Johnson Hotel. The Howard Johnson provided us with space to store and sort books and the Nanaimo North Town Center provided storage and mall space for our sale. Brewers Wort and the Nanaimo Daily News provided drop off centers.  As well, Nanaimo Daily News provided advertising.
