Rotary Boat Ramp and Docks

Our club recently completed building the second set of docks at the fisherman's wharf.  Boat launch ramp and loading docks are free to the public.

Holland Creek Trail

Our club recently completed building a steel bridge over Holland Creek linking east and west bank trails of the Holland Creek Trail system in Ladysmith.

Transfer Beach Toddlers' Park

Our club built the maritime theme Toddlers' play area at the newly upgraded Transfer Beach Park in Ladysmith.

Historical Artifacts Restoration

Ladysmith Rotary recovered and restored an abandoned Caterpillar tractor used in the 1920s in Ladysmith, and put it on display permanently on First Avenue, as part of the Town's historical walk program.

PolioPlus

	A child receives the oral Polio vaccine.

In 1985, Rotary launched the PolioPlus program to protect children worldwide from the cruel and fatal consequences of polio. In 1988, the World Health Assembly challenged the world to eradicate polio. Since that time, Rotary's efforts and those of partner agencies, including the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children's Fund, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and governments around the world, have achieved a 99 percent reduction in the number of polio cases worldwide. Rotarians stand at the brink of a great victory and look forward to celebrating the global eradication of polio in 2005, the organization's centennial year.
